A Grade II-listed building off Stevenage High Street is up for sale, after the shoe repair business that occupied the premises for more than 60 years closed down.
R. Andrews Shoe Repairs in Middle Row permanently closed in November and the premises is currently being marketed by Satchells estate agents for £240,000.
The business had been established for 62 years, with people taking to social media to share fond memories of the shop.
One said: "So sad. My family always had their shoes repaired there. They also made up the best moccasins from a kit back in the 70's."
Another said: "Whenever I get a whiff of leather or solvent glue, I always think of Andrews."
The premises includes a 130 sq ft retail area to the front and a 168 sq ft open plan area on the first floor, and retains character features including exposed beams and a fireplace.
The seller has planning permission to rebuild the rear section.
