Membership of Hitchin Chamber Orchestra is drawn locally from North Herts and South Beds, with a mix of accomplished amateur players, professional instrumental teachers and a core of freelance musicians who lead the sections.

The orchestra rehearses on Friday evenings at Tilehouse Baptist Church, and performs three times a year.

There are no auditions to join, but the orchestra invites prospective players to join them for a short trial period, after which they may be invited to join.
