A new members' club is set to open this summer in Baldock.

London Twenty Four will be a cocktail club and shisha lounge, located at Unit 24 on Baldock's industrial estate.

The club's grand opening is set for June 2023, with a precise date yet to be confirmed.

Contrary to rumours shared online, it is not a gentleman's club and no application has been made for a sex establishment licence.

From Monday to Wednesday every week, the club will be available to hire for private functions such as engagement parties, baby showers, work functions, and other special occasions.

It will be open to all members Thursday through Saturday, from 7pm to 3am each day.

Membership of the club will only be open to people aged 25 or over, and a smart dress code will be in place.

A spokesperson for London Twenty Four said that this meant "no tracksuits, no hoodies, no caps, however designer trainers are allowed and we trust in our door staff to make correct judgement of attire".

The spokesperson added that their age restrictions will be in place "because we are targeting a certain age group for a more mature audience at London Twenty Four".

"We are a cocktail, shisha and function lounge hoping to bring a positive change to the nightlife in Baldock, giving people the opportunity to experience something new.

"Becoming a member is simple. All that is required is a driving licence or a passport, which will be scanned and logged on our database by our reception team on arrival.

"We would like to thank the local council and emergency services for the help and support in this journey.

"Thank you and we hope to see you soon."
