A 'generous' donation from a homebuilder will go towards heating a Scout hut in Codicote.

Taylor Wimpey North Thames has donated £1,000 to 1st Codicote Scout Group as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting its development’s local communities.

The 1st Codicote Scout Group is part of the Scouts Mid Herts District which aims to help young people between the ages of six and 18 reach their full potential by developing lifelong qualities and skills.

Christine Whitbread, Group Scout Leader at 1st Codicote Scouts, said: “We’d like to thank Taylor Wimpey for their generous donation which will be put towards heating the Scout hut where much of the activities we provide take place as well as first response courses for all Hertfordshire section leaders.”

Based in Codicote, the Scout group is local to the housebuilder’s recently launched developments, The Heath and The Vale.

Paresh Pandya, sales manager for Taylor Wimpey North Thames, said: “We are delighted to support 1st Codicote Scout Group with this donation which will be used to provide heating to the Scout hut.

"The Scout group provides a fantastic opportunity for young people in the Codicote area to learn valuable life skills and qualities which will be beneficial later on in their life.”

Taylor Wimpey North Thames has recently launched two developments in Codicote - The Heath and The Vale.
