The manager at Hotel Cromwell in Stevenage High Street has quashed rumours the venue could be closing to the public to accommodate asylum seekers.
It comes days after Needham House Hotel in Little Wymondley cancelled customers' bookings - including weddings - due to "government business" at the venue.
Novotel in Stevenage closed to the public last year to provide accommodation to asylum seekers.

Dean Thompson, general manager at Hotel Cromwell, said: "We have had calls and emails these last few days asking if we are closing. We aren't.
"We are here to stay for the community and be actively involved in the future plans for the Old Town and the high street. We are here to honour any booking anyone has with us.
"We will be investing £500,000 in the hotel this year. We have already started the programme with the complete refurbishment of Rump & Wade Brasserie, and will continue to work throughout the summer with a new look for our lounge and reception area, and a refresh of our bedrooms.
"We are here to stay and look forward to seeing you soon, we hope."
