Hitchin is getting an exciting new food spot with Nibbles set open soon, and things are already taking place at the café.

Replacing the much-loved Rose Buds Café and Tearoom in The Arcade, no opening date has been announced for Nibbles, but the owners took to Instagram to explain it will be revealed "imminently".

And while work is still taking place, things are clearly taking shape inside, with seating and a counter, decked out with a coffee machine and space to make sandwiches ready to go.

Chairs for outside seating can be seen too, while the blue shop front and bespoke orange and white facia and swing sign certainly catch the eye.

The most exciting news though is the menu, which is yet to be revealed online, but can be seen in the Nibbles window.

Serving English breakfast muffins until midday, the lunchtime menu offers house ciabattas and smokehouse signatures using the finest meats, while specials and a selection of cakes and pastries will also be available.

And if none of the sandwiches take your fancy, you can even make your own.

When Nibbles finally opens, it looks certain to be one of Hitchin's most popular lunch spots.
