The Engine pub in Baldock is promising "nothing but good vibes" with its new music festival in aid of Garden House Hospice Care.

The 'Oh My Gosh' Charity Weekender, hosted by the boozer in Station Road, will take place from Friday, June 16 to Sunday, June 18, and will feature a range of local talent and tribute acts.

It will be  a family-friendly event, with more than 20 music and entertainment acts to enjoy.

Acts taking the stage over the weekend include tributes to Elvis, Amy Winehouse and Madonna.

The pub will be matching all donations raised from the event, doubling the amount the hospice receives.

The Engine's senior manager, Dale Mabert, said: "The Engine has chosen to support Garden House Hospice Care because not only have they supported members of my own family during difficult times, but they have also offered their support to many other families locally to us that have struggled with their loved ones."

Relationship fundraising manager, corporate and groups at the hospice, Jenny Marques, said: "Our costs have risen significantly over the last couple of years, and it now costs £6.5million to run our vital services.

"We rely heavily on the support of individuals and businesses in the local community to raise these funds, so we are delighted that The Engine is helping us by hosting this exciting music festival."

The event will also raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Baldock is no stranger to a charity festival, with the popular Balstock taking place at venues across the High Street, in aid of a number of different causes.

Tickets for the 'Oh My Gosh' Charity Weekender cost £5 per adult, or £12 for a weekend ticket. Under-18s go free.
