The Stevenage Lytton Players are holding auditions for musical thriller Sweeney Todd.

The musical, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a script by Hugh Wheeler, will be performed at the Lytton Theatre from October 18 to 21.

Auditions will take place at the theatre on Sunday, July 9, with 'get-togethers' - featuring an acting workshop and sing-through - on Monday, July 3 and Wednesday, July 5 at 7.30pm.

Performers of all backgrounds and experience levels are invited to take part and showcase their talents.

The production team is the same as the one behind last year's musical Sister Act, which won two NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association) awards - for best musical and best production.

The Stevenage Lytton Players aim to bring their own interpretation to the chilling tale of love, revenge and the dark underbelly of Victorian London.

Details on ticket availability and pricing will be announced in the coming weeks at
