Crowds flocked to IWM Duxford last weekend for the Battle of Britain Airshow, which include displays from the Red Arrows and Supermarine Spitfires.
On Saturday, September 16, and Sunday, September 17, eyes turned to the sky in Cambridgeshire, as the museum commemorate the brave servicemen and women who risked their lives to defend Britain in the summer of 1940.
More than 60 vintage and contemporary aircraft displayed, with a flypast of 12 Spitfires and four Hurricanes among the highlights.
There was an historic moment too, when the last airworthy B-17 Flying Fortress in Europe - known as 'Sally B' - flew alongside the RAF's Avro Lancaster, the first time the two iconic Second World War bombers have done so in more than 20 years, and the first time ever at Duxford.
And, of course, the ever-popular Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, better known as the Red Arrows, wowed with yet another daring performance.
On the ground, crowds were transported back to the sights and sounds of the summer of 1940, with a cast of wartime characters recreating the daily life of RAF Duxford as a Battle of Britain Fighter Station.
The Spitfires and Hurricanes will take to the skies again for the Flying Finale on October 14, which marks 50 years to the day since the first air display at Duxford in 1973.
