Residents in rural areas around Hitchin are being asked to have their say on policing priorities in their communities.

The Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) is asking people who live in Knebworth, Codicote, Hitchwood, Offa, Hoo, Kimpton and Chesfield to tell them about the issues affecting their area.

Sergant Taz Gill, part of the SNT, said: “Feedback from members of the public is vital to ensure that local policing resources are focusing on the issues that matter most to them.

“Please do use the Echo or OWL methods to let us know your views as they really do make a difference.

“If we know about issues, we can work to tackle them alongside local communities and our partners, including local councils.”

SNTs work alongside local partners to focus on solving long and short-term neighbourhood issues, such as anti-social behaviour, speeding, criminal damage and drug related crime.

To have your say, contribute via Echo before Thursday, October 19.
