A school choir is “delighted” to perform and raise money for charity at local events.
Children from the Woolenwick Infant and Nursery School Choir have already sang in Westgate Shopping Centre, Stevenage, on November 30, and are now lining up a second fundraising show.
There were 50 children performing festive classics at the shopping centre, raising £120, and next Saturday (December 9) they will be raising more money at the Christmas Island in Stevenage town centre from 1.30pm.

Woolenwick’s music lead and assistant headteacher Tom Robinson said: “We are delighted to join with the Westgate Centre and Christmas Island for our fundraising activities.
“Our children have really enjoyed learning about their local community and building their confidence to perform some fantastic festive songs.”
The money raised will be going to the community organisation People for People, set up to support people who are struggling in the town through support food banks, day centres, schools, and individuals.
Kenny Arnold from People for People said: “The children at Woolenwick Infant School all understand that kindness and community spirit are at the centre of the festive season.
“We hope that their beautiful singing will raise much-needed funds to support People for People.”
