Teach in Herts - a dedicated platform for jobs in education and childcare - is holding several recruitment fairs over the coming weeks.

With more than 700 Hertfordshire schools, trusts and settings using the platform as their primary recruitment resource, the Teach in Herts website lists more than 10,000 vacancies a year, and has more than 50,000 visitors per month.

Teach in Herts has the following jobs fairs planned:

  • The John Henry Newman Catholic School in Stevenage - Wednesday, January 31, from 5pm to 7pm.
  • Howe Dell Primary School in Hatfield - Saturday, February 3, from 10am to midday.
  • Birchwood High School in Bishop's Stortford - Saturday, February 10, from 10am to midday.
  • St Albans Girls’ School - Thursday, February 15, from 5pm to 7pm.
  • Parmiter’s School in Watford - Wednesday, February 28, from 5pm to 7pm.
  • St Clement Danes School in Rickmansworth - Saturday, March 2, from 10am to midday.

A spokesperson for Teach in Herts said: "Whether in the classroom, with younger children at a day care setting, in administration, human resources, business or finance, there is a wealth of opportunity for those starting their career or looking to retrain.

"Many settings offer term-time only contracts, with flexible working hours that make this an ideal sector for those looking to improve their work-life balance or get back to work after a career break. There is also great training and support available locally through HFL Education.

"Our free annual Teach in Herts jobs fairs are a great opportunity to meet education sector employers face-to-face and get valuable careers advice.

"Each event is hosted by one of our fabulous schools and offers the chance to meet employers from a range of primary, secondary and early years settings in that area, to discuss a wide variety of employment opportunities.

"You’ll also be able to research career options and training routes, hear talks from training providers, and get expert advice and support from our team.

"Once again, we will be promoting all vacancies within a school or educational setting - not just teaching - and we hope this will enable us to connect talented people across the county."
