Traffic has been building up in Hitchin today (Thursday, January 11) due to temporary traffic lights being in operation.
The area around the A505 Offley Road has been affected by the multi-way temporary lights, which are in place due to roadworks on A505 Old Park Road.

"Essential" maintenance works are being carried out by Affinity Water, and have been ongoing since the evening of Tuesday, January 9. They are expected to continue into tomorrow.
Hertfordshire Highways are warning motorists that there are delays in the area due to congestion.
