Cars were stopped on the A1(M) yesterday (Friday, January 12) as police officers searched for a missing teenager.

At 8pm, Hertfordshire police informed the public that they were searching for a missing teenager who was believed to be walking close to the A1(M), between Baldock and Letchworth.

Officers used a rolling road block to slow traffic, and put a small aeroplane into the air as part of their search.

They asked drivers to avoid the area, with hold ups expected.

And by 8.30pm, they were able to report back with good news, after finding the missing person.

The A1(M) was reopened shortly afterwards.
