The final stage of walking and cycling improvement works along North Road in Stevenage is now being completed.
The works to create a new two-way cycle route along the eastern side of North Road, between Coreys Mill Lane and the A602 Lytton Way gyratory, along with new crossing facilities and better signage to local routes, began in June last year.
"These works are to provide safer routes for people walking and cycling between the hospital, schools and the High Street," a spokesperson for Herts Highways explained.
Phase 6 - the final phase - from Rectory Lane to Chancellors Road is expected to be completed by mid-February.
