Letchworth and Baldock have a new sergeant, it has been announced.
Sgt Ryan Champion is now heading the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT), tackling issues such as anti-social behaviour and drug-related crime.
Sgt Champion said: "I will continue the great work Lisa has been carrying out with the team in Letchworth and Baldock and maintaining the links with the community and local businesses.
"I’m looking to develop further our community engagement, speeding operations, pro-active operations around drug supply and burglary.
"I also aim to work on engagement with young people with new projects to be planned.
"Please do also let us know about what you think your local officers should focus on in your area by using our community feedback platform echo."
Sgt Champion, who grew up in North Herts, joined the constabulary in 2008, progressing from a PCSO to PC, before being promoted to sergeant.
He has an extensive service history, having served in Royston, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Stevenage, and Borehamwood.
Sgt Champion takes over from Sgt Lisa Perks.
