Two Community Resolutions have been issued after Herts police found two people with drugs on them during a patrol in Hitchin yesterday (Thursday, February 28).
PC Ellis and PCSO Skinner were conducting a foot patrol around Churchyard, by St Mary's Church, at around 9pm when they carried out three searches under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.
During the searches, they found two people in possession of cannabis.
Both individuals were issued Community Resolutions, which are used by police officers to handle low-level offences without recourse to formal sanctions. They do not constitute a criminal record.
