Officially named Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Tim Burton's Beetlejuice 2 blockbuster was made at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Hertfordshire.

Scenes of the Beetlejuice sequel were also shot on location at a former school near Hitchin, Hertfordshire, with Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz pictured last May driving out of the Princess Helena College site in Preston.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is set for release in September this year, and fans of the original 1988 American fantasy horror comedy film have now been given a first glimpse of Tim Burton's eagerly-awaited sequel.

One first look publicity image shows Keaton as the "bio-exorcist" Betelgeuse, while the other features Lydia Deetz and Delia Deetz together in a graveyard.

The first official Beetlejuice Beetlejuice teaser trailer has also been released by Warner Bros. The movie's official Instagram account posted: "The Juice is loose!" You can watch the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice teaser trailer below.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice reunites visionary director Tim Burton and Oscar nominee Michael Keaton, who filmed the 1989 Batman movie on location in Hertfordshire at Knebworth House and Hatfield House, with the two stately homes doubling for Wayne Manor.

Having pulled on Batman's cape and cowl again in last year's The Flash, which was also made at Knebworth House and the film studios at Leavesden, Keaton returns to his iconic Beetlejuice role.

Keaton stars alongside Oscar nominee Winona Ryder (Stranger Things, Little Women), who returns as Lydia Deetz, and two-time Emmy winner Catherine O’Hara as Delia Deetz.

Making three generations of the Deetz family is Emmy nominee Jenna Ortega (Wednesday, Scream VI) as Lydia’s daughter, Astrid.

Jenna Ortega posted the teaser trailer to her Instagram account and the reel has already been viewed more than 20 million times with 1.7million likes.

New cast members also include Justin Theroux (Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi, The Leftovers) as Rory, Monica Bellucci (Spectre, The Matrix films), and Arthur Conti (House of the Dragon) in his feature film debut.

Another newcomer to the Beetlejuice world is Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe, recently seen in Poor Things alongside Emma Stone.

Not much has been revealed about the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice plot so far.

However, Warner Bros have revealed that after an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River.

The film synopsis continues: "Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened.

"With trouble brewing in both realms, it's only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice's name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem."

One of the publicity pictures released by Warner Bros shows Catherine O’Hara as Delia, Jenna Ortega as Astrid, Winona Ryder as Lydia and Justin Theroux as Rory in black coats in a graveyard with a hearse behind them.
