Striking workers at a manufacturing firm in Hitchin have been demonstrating outside their workplace today (May 28).
GMB members at Crane Building Services and Utilities on Wilbury Way are taking industrial action from today to June 7 in a dispute over pay.
Andre Marques, GMB London regional organiser, said: "We have been through a long process of negotiations with the company, including ACAS talks, but so far they have refused to budge on their current five per cent offer.
"These are skilled workers and five per cent is an insult to our members."
Crane Building Services and Utilities design and manufacture a range of engineered "flow control products" and solutions for heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and utility sectors.
The company has been asked to comment.
