Four people have been arrested in connection with suspected county lines drugs activity in Stevenage.

Police officers attended an address in Broom Walk in Bedwell at around 1.30pm on Wednesday (June 12), after information was received regarding suspected drug activity at the location.

Three men from London and a local woman were arrested and a quantity of cash and Class A drugs were seized, along with a knuckle duster and mobile phones.

All four have been released on police bail while enquiries continue.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire police said: "We are currently involved in a new partnership initiative – Build a Better Bedwell – which is aimed at targeting organised criminal gangs and driving illegal drugs and violent crime out of the Bedwell area. Then, working with partners and the community, to build up and improve the area.

"We are committed to targeting those who commit drug crime in our town, so please continue to pass on any information to us."
