Tesco has announced that it will be shutting all of its Express stores for the Euro 2024 final between England and Spain on Sunday (July 14).
Around 1,800 Express stores - including more than 20 in Hertfordshire - will close at 7.30pm instead of the normal time of 10pm or 11pm.
The move will allow employees to watch the final, while still receiving the pay they would normally receive for those hours.
As the match is being played on a Sunday evening, Tesco's larger stores will already be closed by kick off at 8pm.
All stores will be open as normal during the day on Sunday, and all online orders will be delivered as normal.
