An independent business in Hitchin town centre will reopen on Saturday, July 13 after a store refurbishment.
Gatwards of Hitchin, a family-run jewellers, first opened its doors in 1760 - but it has closed recently to allow a revamp of the shop.
The new design aims to give customers more privacy and more attention from sales assistants, with iPads at each serving station.
Soft-seating for customers is provided too, as well as a hospitality area for bubbly refreshments.

A spokesperson for the store said that the refurb hopes to fit with their new motto of "more than a moment" to give customers a "special memory of the store experience".
When the store reopens at 9.30am on Saturday, the first ten customers to make a purchase will receive goody bags worth £100 each.
Gatwards is open 9.30am to 5.15pm from Monday to Saturday at 20 Market Place.
