Staff and residents at Iris Court care home in Gosmore are praising their managing director, Angela Bradford, following her charity cook off performance.
Stepping out of her comfort zone, Angela competed in the Barchester Charitable Foundation cook off 2024 against managing directors from Barchester’s four other divisions.
They cooked up a storm to raise £24,595 for the charity which helps connect vulnerable people and those living with a disability with their community groups and local area providing grants to aid mobility and quality of life.
Angela rustled up a main of Marbella chicken with a garlic and asparagus Mediterranean sauce and a fruit pavlova for dessert which were well-received by the judging panel made up by members of Barchester’s executive team.
General manager of Iris Court care home, Babu Rangarajan, said: “We are all so proud of Angela for taking part in this challenge, she really is amazing.”
