A ward at Lister Hospital in Stevenage was temporarily closed last week after a patient tested positive for Covid.
The Ashwell Ward, which provides elderly care on Level 2 in the Strathmore Wing of the hospital, is currently only partially open.
A spokesperson for the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, which runs Lister, explained: "Last week, following guidance from our infection, prevention and control team, we temporarily closed our Ashwell Ward at Lister Hospital after a patient tested positive for Covid.
"We have since reopened Ashwell Ward, with two bays operational and two remaining temporarily closed, while we continue to follow our stringent infection, prevention and control measures.
"The health and safety of our patients and staff remain our top priority and we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of care across our hospital sites."
