A development of 88 new council flats in Stevenage is now available for council tenants and residents to view.
Brodie Court, part of Stevenage Borough Council's Kenilworth Close development in Bragbury End, provides one- and two-bedroom flats for people over the age of 60.
Residents who may like to consider moving - and potentially downsizing - into one of the flats can now book a slot to view the flats at an open day.
Cllr Jackie Hollywell, cabinet member for housing, told a council meeting yesterday (Wednesday, July 31) that the flats are "top quality" and "ideal" for people over the age of 60.
She added that council officers can help people "consider their options ... because I know sometimes it is quite difficult to consider a move and to downsize into flats".
Cllr Hollywell said that Matthew Pennycook, minister for housing in the new government, had been "very impressed" with the quality of the housing on offer when he visited.
The next open day is being held on August 6. Council tenants and residents can enquire about booking a slot here: https://www.stevenage.gov.uk/housing/specialist-support-services/brodie-court
