A man has been arrested on suspicion of ABH after a motorist was punched in Hitchin.
At around 3.40pm on Friday, September 27, an altercation occurred between a pedestrian and the driver of a black Vauxhall Astra at the zebra crossing on Walsworth Road.
The pedestrian reportedly hit the car with an item, causing a dent, before punching the victim in the face.
Following enquiries, a 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm (ABH) and criminal damage. He has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
