A man has been arrested on suspicion of common assault after a woman was pushed into a glass window in Stevenage.
Between 1.30am and 2.30am on Saturday, October 19, a woman was reportedly assaulted in High Street.
The victim was also pushed into a glass window at Martin Ingram Opticians, causing it to smash, and left the scene before officers arrived.
A 23-year-old man from Stevenage was arrested on suspicion of common assault and criminal damage. He has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Detective Constable Wayne Walker, investigating, said: "As part of our investigation, I am urging anyone with information to please contact us.
"I am particularly keen to trace the victim, who is currently unknown to us. Additionally, if you were in the area at the time and saw what happened, please email me directly via Wayne.Walker@herts.police.uk."
