David Amoo has completed his move from Stevenage to Crewe Alexandra - ending a five-month stay at the Lamex.
Steve Evans revealed on Thursday, prior to the home game with Leyton Orient, that he had given permission for their League Two rivals to speak to the forward.
He even insisted that Amoo would be welcomed back with open arms should he decided the move was not for him.
However, the 31-year-old has now agreed to the switch.
Amoo signed for Stevenage late in August after his release from Port Vale in the summer but found game time hard to come by.
His last appearance came off the bench as Boro beat Aston Villa 2-1 in the FA Cup.
