The Hitchin Sunday League has reached the trophy-giving stage of their season - with FC Emperors Head the chief among them.

They took the Herts Sunday Junior Cup thanks to a comprehensive 5-1 win over Glenn Sports & Social Club.

The final, played at the County Ground in Letchworth, saw Austin Blake grab a brace with one each from Kyle Cook and Harry Hacibian plus an own goal handing them the trophy.

The league's own Subsidiary Cup was up for grabs when Division one Arlesey Town faced Kimpton of Division Two.

And there was no upset as Arlesey took the win, Alex Taylor, Kasey Taylor and a penalty from Josh Brown helping them to a 3-0 success.

FC Inter Malone got in on the silverware-hunting when they beat Lea Sports PSG 5-1 to lift the George John Cup.

They had taken a 1-0 lead into the second half and scored early to seemingly put one hand on the trophy.

But they had to withstand a huge fight from Lea Sports, who not only scored but went on to go very close to an equaliser, before Malone pulled clear.

AC Malone will look to follow Inter's example when they play Chells Rovers in the final of the Carl Couzens Challenge Cup.

That takes place tomorrow (Sunday) at Arlesey Town Football Club with a 3pm kick-off.

The entry fee is £5 per person while children under 12 are free.

Chells will go into that confirmed as runners-up in Division One after Coach & Horses were crowned champions.

A win in their final game was always going to give C&H the title and they managed it by beating Emperors Head 3-2.

AC Malone head to Arlesey on the back of a 3-0 win over St Ippolyts. Ben Fairey and Daril Ngwala (two) pushed them up to third.

Fairfield Park had a good 6-2 win away against Ashwell while Arlesey Town won by the odd goal in five in their away game against The Cock.

Bottom side Buffs lost twice in a double header with Atletico 99, 4-1 in game one and 5-0 in game two.

Almond Tree had a convincing 8-1 victory at home to Division Two basement side Kimpton while Stotfold Juniors beat Khoi Khoi 4-1 and there was a walkover success for Squirrel Taverners over Saint Evenage.

A hat trick from Paul Morris plus singles for Marcus Dolby, Jamie Burbury and Peter Gurney helped GSS to a 6-1 victory against Hitchin Rovers.

The final game of the day saw North Herts Hatters and Feed Up Warm Up pick up a point each after a 3-3 draw.
