Stevenage have move to bolster their strong start to the League One season with the signing of Reece Hannam.

The former Crystal Palace defender had been on trial with the club all summer and has now done enough to warrant a contract.

The 22-year-old left-back was U23 player of the season for the Eagles in 2021, the club he joined from West Ham United.

Last year he spent time on loan in the National League with Bromley.

Hannam said: "I’m looking forward to getting started here. I came in as a trialist with something to prove so I’m happy to get it done and feel like I’ve got a lot to offer."
