Stevenage manager Steve Evans has given a subtle message to any Boro fans worried about outgoings in the January window - our big players are going nowhere.
Speculation had been rife prior to the month's transfer window that Jamie Reid's fantastic run of form would bring offers and tempt him away.
The striker, dubbed big goal Reidy, has scored 15 times in League One this season and bagged 19 in all competitions.
The signing of another frontman this week, Vadaine Oliver coming in on loan from Bradford City, did little to quell the panic for some.
But while the boss did say some of the squad might leave, he wasn't expecting any of his significant assets to depart.
Evans said: "We're talking to some people now but we have to also balance the numbers, balance the books a bit and so there are some people talking to us about two or three of our players.
"And to the doom and gloomers, there's no player that's played a major part this season leaving.
"Let’s not let fans forums run away with themselves.
"In the words of Neil Warnock, 10 strikers is not enough and we’ve only got six so we’ll go as we are."
