A full day of fixtures for the hockey clubs of Blueharts and Stevenage saw plenty of good results.
The best of them belonged to the ladies' fifths at the Hitchin club.
Dani Flood and Niamh Krishman each scored a hat-trick as they beat Letchworth 8-0.
Mille Winton added another while there was a first goal for the fives from Gracie Deller and a star player award for Izzy Chapman.
The seconds edged a five-goal thriller against St Albans thanks to goals from Jules Rees, Ally Antoniou and Rosie Ross but that's where the successes stopped.
The first team lost on their long away trip to Norwich City, Jay Livermore on target in the 3-1 defeat, and the same score saw the thirds beaten by Letchworth, all after Josie Layton had put them in front.
An all-action performance from goalkeeper Yas Taylor helped keep the sevenths in the game against Saffron Walden but despite goals from Ella Lock and Claudia Taylor, Walden won 3-2.
In the men's section, the firsts beat Harleston Magpies 2-0 in a dominant East Premier League performance, Harvey Walton Adams with both goals as they moved third, two points behind Letchworth.
The fourths beat their neighbours 3-1, the goals coming from Ollie Wright, Scott Cromack and Hayden Haywood, while the sevenths won 4-1 against Hertford.
Harri Flinn, Daniel Holder, Daniel Kench and Bobby Bridges got the goals in that one.
The fifths looked to be on course to upset Herford too, leaders in Division Four South West.
But despite goals from Rory Williams (two) and Ashley and Ben Hammond, they saw a 4-2 lead turn into a 5-4 loss, Hertford scoring twice in the last six minutes.
Blueharts' men also managed two draws.
Goalkeeper Cameron Carr was on form as the seconds held hosts St Albans 0-0 while the thirds drew 2-2 with Cheshunt, Gillan Ide scoring late after Harry Macdonald had got the first.
The big result at Stevenage was a 4-0 success for the men's fourth team, Alistair Aubusson and Geoff Trew each getting two against St Albans.
They were pushed though by a 3-0 win for the ladies' fifths at home to Bedford for whom Lyra Colwell, Jenny Spicer and Charlotte Hessey all scored in the first half.
The first team won 1-0 against Bedford, Holly Manning on target, while the seconds won 4-1 away to St Albans.
Claire Weston put them ahead with the only goal of the first half before a double from Steph Oliver and Chloe Jones made the late reply from the hosts a mere consolation.
The fourths drew 1-1 in St Albans, Rebecca Hindle equalising after a superb defensive display from the entire team.
The thirds played twice over the weekend, losing 2-1 at home to Saffron Walden before beating Letchworth 1-0.
Bec McGrellis had seemingly earned a draw in the first one but Walden grabbed a winner with less than a minute to go.
But despite the tired legs on Sunday, a goal 10 minutes from the end at Whitethorn Lane gave Stevenage the win.
There was only one other winner in the men's section, the seconds defeating Rickmansworth 1-0 courtesy of a Richard Brendish goal.
The firsts lost 6-0 at home to Letchworth while the thirds went down 3-2 at Welwyn Garden City, William Popplewell and Ian Wilcock on target.
