Stevenage's search for a second goalkeeper has ended after they captured Queens Park Rangers youngster Murphy Cooper.

The 22-year-old has signed on loan until the end of the season.

He signed for Rangers as a 10-year-old and made his league debut against Preston in April 2022.

Cooper has also spent time out on loan, most notably with Swindon Town last season where he played every minute up to December 2023, before injury put a premature end to his spell at the County Ground.

He was put straight into the Boro squad for Saturday's friendly with Chelsea U21s at the Lamex Stadium.

Stevenage kick off their League One season at home to Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.
