MANN Parmjit Kaur "Nanny" Parmjit passed away peacefully in her sleep on the 6th February 2024. Her family moved from the Punjab to Singapore while her mother was expecting her, she then followed suit in 1960 by emigrating to the UK with the man she loved, Gurmit. Parmjit had four sons, one of whom stayed in Singapore to be raised by her parents, and who sadly died three weeks before Parmjit. She had seven grandchildren in the UK, and seven more in Singapore, all of whom she loved and spoilt dearly. She has many great-grandchildren, and the next generation has already begun. Parmjit lost her beloved Gurmit in 2016, she had defied her parents by marrying him, and she missed him passionately. Parmjit was a huge presence in the lives of everyone she met, this extended beyond her family, to all that entered her life, her home, and sat around her dining table. Funeral at North Hertfordshire Memorial Park & Crematorium, Holwell at 1pm on 22nd February, with a wake at The Buff's Football Club, Baldock 2-5pm. Family flowers only, donations to The Trussel Trust
