A Metropolitan Police officer from Stevenage has been charged with nine further offences as part of an ongoing investigation.
A total of 53 charges have now been laid against David Carrick, 47, an officer with the Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command who is currently suspended. They relate to a total of 13 victims.
The new charges are all linked to a new victim, and allegedly took place in 2003. They are:
- False imprisonment
- Six offences of rape including two of anal rape
- Indecent assault
- Possession of firearm with intent to cause fear of violence
Mr Carrick was arrested by Hertfordshire police at his Stevenage home in October 2021. An ongoing investigation is being carried out by the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit.
He remains in custody and is next due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, November 30, before a trial beginning in February 2023.
