New book sees teen artist from Letchworth work with Hitchin author

16-year-old India Noble and her mother Liz have produced visual images to go with Matt Adcock's latest novel 'Battlemages Don't Clean Their Teeth'.

The book is the author's science fiction take on the popular children's book 'Pirates Don’t Clean Their Teeth'.

Matt Adcock tells the tale of Cleric20, a "lowlife but loveable Battlemage", who sets off on an adventurous mission to London2.

The author met India when her mother painted the cover of his debut novel 'Complete Darkness'. 

Charecter's from his first book are carried over into 'Battlemages Don't Clean Their Teeth', and are left black and white so that readers may colour in their outfits.

India is said to be "very excited to have the chance to show her art to the world".

A launch event for the book will take place in Hitchin bookshop 'Next Page Books' on February 4, 2023.
