Artists in Hitchin are being invited to submit artworks to be included in a month-long Hitchin Art Trail.
Organised by Hitchin Creative and Hitchin Festival for July 2023, the Trail will be a celebration of Hitchin's visual art and artists.
Artists are being encouraged to submit up to three images for consideration, with local businesses welcome to support the Trail by displaying one or more of the art works selected.
Each piece of art work that is for sale will feature a QR code, to make it easier for people to buy the work they’d like to see on their own wall.
Funds raised through sales will be invested to support the work of Hitchin Festival and Hitchin Creative.
James Willis, an award-winning artist, is one of the founding directors of Hitchin Creative. He said: “We wanted to expand Hitchin Festival in July, with so many people spending time in the town and give them a chance to see some of the spectacular visual art being produced by our creative community.

“This is also a great opportunity for collaboration between the artists themselves and the town’s businesses who are featuring their work. That is one of the key drivers behind Hitchin Creative - bringing people together around creativity.
“Hitchin Creative and Hitchin Festival together will be arranging the online catalogue, social media and the visitor map of the Art Trail. We are all volunteers so if you can help in any way we will be pleased to hear from you.”
Applications by artists and local businesses need to be completed by Monday, May 21.
