Hertfordshire police received three reports of attempted theft from cars in Stevenage in just 24 hours.
The three incidents all took place in the Old Town and Chells, and the offender or offenders successfully broke into two cars during the night.
First, between 12.01am and 4am on Sunday, November 26, offenders succeeded in breaking into a car in Marlborough Road in Chells. They did not take anything.
Then, between 3pm on Sunday, November 26 and 7.40am on Monday, November 27, an offender or offenders gained keyless entry to a vehicle in Grove Road in the Old Town.

Finally, between 2.30am and 2.32am on Monday, November 27, an offender was seen on a Ring doorbell trying car door handles in Orchard Road in the Old Town.
A spokesperson for Herts police advised people to "be vigilant and report any suspicious activity in the area". They asked people who may have information or relevant footage relating to these crimes to contact them by calling 101 and quoting the relevant crime number.
