Road closures and planning applications are among the key public notices in Stevenage and North Hertfordshire that are set to affect residents.

Here are a few notices which could impact residents in Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth and Baldock in the coming months.
1. B197 North Road - temporary closure and waiting restrictions
An application has been made by Hertfordshire County Council for an order to prohibit all vehicles from using the B197 North Road, from the junction at Coreys Mill northwards towards the junction with B197 Graveley Road.
The section of road to be closed is approximately 1km long.
The closure is so works can be carried out on the road, and the order will come into force on January 4 for up to 18 months. Specific dates and times for the closures will be specified on signs on the road.
2. Temporary closures and waiting restrictions in Baldock and Radwell.
Applications have been made by Hertfordshire County Council for multiple road closure orders affecting Baldock and Radwell.
They include banning all vehicles from the A507 Great North Road in Radwell, from the junction with the A1(M) roundabout eastwards to the junction with the Baldock Services access road roundabout, a stretch of road that is around 150m long.
All vehicles will also be banned from the A507 Great North Road from the junction with Baldock Services access road roundabout, southwards to the junction with Norton Mill Lane. The stretch of road is around 1.5km long.
The closure is to enable works on the roads, and could last for up to 18 months from January 1, 2024. Specific dates and times for the closures will be given on signs on the road.
3. Temporary closure of cycle track on north side of Sefton Road in Stevenage.
An application has been made by Hertfordshire County Council for an order to close around 78m of the cycle track on the north side of Sefton Road in Stevenage from 1 January for up to six months.
Specific closure dates and times will be given on signs on the road.
4. 7 Bancroft.
A planning application has been submitted in relation with 7 Bancroft.
The application is for a change of use which, if granted, would enable the building to be converted from an office into three new homes.
They would include two two-bedroom maisonettes and one one-bedroom maisonette.

5. Closure of footpath in Hitchin
An order has been made to close the footpath known as Hitchin 7, heading north from the junction with Gaping Lane for 70m.
The closure order is to enable utilities works to take place, and the footpath will be closed from December 12 for one day.
