A futsal tournament in Stevenage has helped support the Stevenage Community Trust.

Sixteen Under 10s teams took part in games at Stevenage Arts and Leisure Centre on Saturday, December 2, with big names such as Fulham, Cambridge United and MK Dons competing with other academy sides and grassroots clubs.

It was Luton who emerged victorious, beating Cambridge United 2-1 in a gripping Gold Cup final. In the Silver Cup, meanwhile, Stevenage Futsal won 3-2 to claim the trophy.

The tournament was held in support of Stevenage Community Trust, raising funds and awareness for a charity that provides funding and support for other community organisations.

A spokesperson for Stevenage Futsal, said: "We are incredibly pleased to have put on an event that allowed young people to showcase their talents but also develop so many social/life skills that are vital on their journeys.

"The feedback received from clubs has been excellent so planning for the next one begins and encourage people who would like to support us to step forward.

"A huge thank you to all the people who gave up their time in the build up and on the day to make it all possible."
