A man with a knife has reportedly robbed a shop in Stevenage today (Thursday, December 14).
According to reports, the man threatened a member of staff inside McColl's newsagents on Bedwell Crescent, and demanded that they hand over cash.
After the cash was handed over, the suspect fled the scene.
The incident occurred at around 6.48am.
The suspect is described as a white man, around 5ft 8in to 6ft tall, and of slim to medium build. He was wearing a grey hooded top, black jogging bottoms, a face covering and a dark beanie hat. He was also carrying a blue plastic bag.
Detective Constable Darren Lomax, from the Stevenage Local Crime Unit, said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and I am appealing for anyone with information to please get in touch.

“If you live nearby and have CCTV or a doorbell camera fitted, please check it as you may have recorded some crucial footage to assist our investigation.
