A dog has been killed by another dog in Knebworth.
At around 10am on Monday, November 20, a Jack Russell was with its owner in the car park on Cherry Close when it was attacked by a tan-coloured dog.
Sadly, the Jack Russell suffered fatal injuries.
Hertfordshire police are investigating the incident, and are now asking for any other witnesses to come forward.
PC Clare Wallace, of the North Herts Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward as they could be able to assist with enquiries into what happened.
“The owners of both dogs have been identified and are co-operating with the investigation, however I would be keen to hear from anyone else who was in the area at the time.
“If you can help, I can be contacted by email via clare.wallace@herts.police.uk.”
