Three people have been taken to hospital after a van crashed on the A1(M) near Stevenage.
Police were called at 11.19pm on Saturday (January 6) to reports of the collision near Junction 8 for north Stevenage and Hitchin, with a white Peugeot Partner van involved.
Hertfordshire Constabulary, the East of England Ambulance Service and Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service all attended the scene.
The carriageway was closed while the emergency services dealt with the incident, and the three injured individuals were taken to hospital.
Two had suffered minor injuries, with one sustaining a serious head injury.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "Police were called at around 11.19pm on Saturday (January 6) to report a road traffic collision on the A1(M) close to Junction 8, involving a white Peugeot Partner van.
