A man was reportedly assaulted during a robbery in Stevenage yesterday (Wednesday, January 10).
Between 8am and 8.10am, a man was allegedly assaulted on Shephall Way, at the junction with Bandley Rise.
His suspected attacker reportedly ran off before the victim discovered that his mobile phone had been smashed and an amount of cash had been taken from his wallet. Police were called to the incident.
A 41-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of robbery and criminal damage in connection with the incident. He remains in police custody at this time.
