The new Adult Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) at Lister Hospital in Stevenage is now open to walk-ins.
Previously, patients were required to attend A&E in the first instance where, if appropriate, any non-life or limb-threatening injuries or illnesses were signposted to the UTC, which opened last month.
Now, if you have a non-life or limb-threatening injury or illness, follow signage to the UTC to access care for broken bones, burns, sprains and fevers.
The UTC opened in January to help reduce A&E waiting times.
The service, which is open from 8am to 8pm daily, sees patients aged 16 and over.
The team of emergency nurse practitioners and GPs at Lister's adult UTC can treat a range of minor illnesses and injuries, including sprains and dislocations, burns and scalds, minor head injuries and objects stuck in ears or noses.
