A pro-Palestinian rally calling on the UK Government to stop arming Israel was held in Hitchin on Saturday.
Organised by the North Herts Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC), around 100 people gathered on Windmill Hill as part of a nationwide day of action, with events held across the country.
Those who joined the Hitchin rally heard from speakers including local Palestinians, campaigners, trade union representatives and charities.
Martin Burke, chair of North Herts PSC, said: "We find hope in the fact that the numbers of people joining our movement, showing up to demonstrations, and calling for equality and justice for Palestinians, continue to grow and grow."
At Saturday's rally, £300 was collected to support two North Herts PSC members in helping find sanctuary for their family and friends in Gaza.
