Swans are nesting in Fairlands Valley Park in Stevenage, prompting the local authority to issue a warning.
A spokesperson for Stevenage Borough Council said: "Lovely news - we have swans nesting at Fairlands Valley Park.
"To help support them, it's really important that you please keep your dog on a lead while passing their nest, and do not approach too closely or startle them.
"Active nests, eggs and chicks of all wild birds are legally protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, and there are penalties for offences committed.
"We have put signs up at the park to remind people of the above."
Photographer Michael Leinweber, of MJT Photography, has captured these images of the nesting swans using a long lens, so as not to disturb them.
