There are plans for a new supermarket to open in Stevenage town centre.
A company called Island Ideas Ltd wants to open "a discount food and drink supermarket" in Queensway, according to an application to Stevenage Borough Council for a premises licence to sell alcohol.
If the plans go ahead, the new supermarket will be located in the unit occupied by Cash Converters until the store relocated to another part of Queensway in August last year.
The corner unit, which is still to let according to signage, is currently vacant.
According to the premises licence application, the proposed supermarket would be open from 7am to 11pm every day, with the applicant requesting the premises licence from this month.
