A car stopped by police on the A1(M) at Letchworth has been seized, with the motorist "likely" to be disqualified from driving due to a raft of offences.
Police officers stopped a red Mercedes and said checks revealed that the "vehicle was in a dangerous condition", the car was being driven on prohibition, the car had no MOT and no insurance, and the rear tyre had a tread depth below 1.6mm.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire police said: "The vehicle has been seized and the driver reported to court, with a disqualification likely."
In a separate incident, a motorist driving in an anti-social manner on Bancroft in Hitchin was given a warning after "accelerating harshly round a corner and loosing grip on a busy junction", the police spokesperson said.
