A new café is preparing to open in Stevenage indoor market later this month.
Cha Kulcha, who announced earlier this year that they were planning to move into the market, have begun setting up at the stall formerly occupied by Leavened bakery.
Leavened - who also have a site in Stevenage Old Town - closed their stall recently, when they moved to Weston.
Cha Kulcha will be a traditional Desi café, specialising in breakfast food such as curries and South Asian flatbreads - aiming to replicate the street stall experience found in Lahore in Pakistan.
Earlier this year, the Stevenage couple behind Cha Kulcha told the Comet: "We moved to Stevenage at the end of the first lockdown in 2020. We noticed the potential of the indoor market to become a hub for the community.

"We're thrilled to have been offered a stall and are busy behind the scenes getting everything together so we can start serving traditional desi flatbreads, breakfast curries and more.
"We want to focus on providing quality food which brings a similar taste to what you would experience getting from a local dhaba in Pakistan.
"We also plan to make sure our core menu caters to various diets - halal, vegan, gluten-free etcetera.
The café is expected to open in midsummer.
